Who this is from

Kymatra is made and supported by Ian Eguiarte. It is free: there is nothing to buy, no account to make, and no payment involved anywhere in using it.

If you would like to support the work, there is a tip jar. It is a gift, not a purchase. It buys no feature, no license and no entitlement, and nothing about Kymatra changes whether you use it or not.

What you may do with it

You may install and use Kymatra on any Mac, for as long as you like, at home or at work. You do not need permission and you do not owe anything.

Please do not:

• Sell it, or charge anyone for access to it
• Redistribute modified copies, or copies passed off as your own
• Strip the signature, or repackage it in a way that hides where it came from

Linking to kymatra.com so people can download it themselves is always fine and always welcome.

Updates

New versions are free as well. Kymatra does not check for them, because it makes no network connections at all, so they are announced on this site, announced in the Discord, and you can ask to be told by writing to support@kymatra.com. Nothing is ever installed without you downloading it yourself.

Being free is not a promise to keep developing it forever. The version you have keeps working whatever happens next, since it runs entirely on your own machine and needs nothing from anyone.

No warranty

Kymatra is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It has been built carefully and tested, but it is not guaranteed to be free of faults or to be suitable for any particular purpose.

Liability

Kymatra is given away at no charge, so to the extent the law allows, there is no liability for any claim relating to it. That is the usual arrangement for free software and it is the reason it can be given away at all.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here removes the statutory rights you have as a consumer where you live. Where those rights and this page disagree, your rights win.

Stopping

Delete it. There is nothing to cancel and no account to close, and removing the app takes its settings with it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled by writing to each other first goes to the state or federal courts located in North Carolina. If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim closer to home, this does not take it away.

If part of this does not hold

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still stand, and that part is treated as narrowed to whatever is enforceable rather than struck out entirely.

These terms and the privacy notice are the whole of the agreement between us about the software.

Changes

These terms may change for future versions. The terms published when you downloaded your copy are the ones that apply to it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when this last changed. A change here cannot reach a copy already on your Mac.
